The members of Ashville Vol Fire Co were honored to participate in the Memorial Day Parade in conjunction with VFW John Lipple Post 4315. Truck 60 proudly displayed the flag at the VFW as the Rescue and Engine where in the Parade...

“Building Fire”

A 1st alarm was dispatched at 18:32 hrs for an apartment building on the 800 block of McGee Ave, Patton Borough assisting Patton Fire Company No. 1
Rescue 60 responded as the Rapid Intervention Team and Truck 60 as 2nd due truck.
Chief 62 (Davis) arrived and assumed command with a working fire in a multi unit apartment building.

A number of area companies participated in Flashover Simulator Training over the past 3 days.
Presented by the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and hosted by the Cresson Fire Company.
Five members from here in Ashville were able to attend the class.

“Tool Time”

Having the JAWS of LIFE tools on each of our rigs, and having the skills needed to use them is an important part of our cache of services.

Maintaining those tools can be a daunting task but equally important. The MES (HURST) company technician spent the last two days at the station, checking and calibrating every bolt, pin, controls and hoses on each of our 20 individual tools.

Weekend Storms...

“Storm Havoc”

Several storms tore through the area Saturday afternoon.
Reaping havoc across our coverage area.
Our Volunteers were dispatched to 14 alarms in just over 5 hours spanning Allegheny, Clearfield, Dean and Gallitzin Twp’s along with calls in Ashville and Patton Boroughs.
